With OpenVZ, memory is often overcommitted and your neighbours can affect your performance; with KVM, the 4 GB of RAM in the Start plan are yours.

Because 1 Gbps is what we have, and we would rather lose a row in a comparison table than win an order with an inflated number. 1 Gbps means roughly 125 MB/s. For a WordPress site, a business website or a mid-sized shop, the bottleneck is not the network port but the CPU, the database and I/O. If you genuinely need sustained transit above a gigabit, we are not the right provider, and we tell you that now, not after you have paid.

Yes, full root, with no restrictions on our side. You install whichever operating system you want from the Virtualizor panel, with automatic installation, and run whatever software you need. We do not ask your permission for anything and we do not log in to your server unless you ask us to.

The account is active as soon as payment is confirmed. From Virtualizor you start the operating system installation, which runs automatically. From order to first SSH login takes minutes, not days, and it does not wait for anyone's approval.

You reinstall it yourself from Virtualizor, at any time, without opening a ticket. You also have a VNC console, so you can get into the server even if the networking inside it is misconfigured — exactly the situation where SSH no longer helps.

On a VPS the administration is yours, backups included: you have root, so you choose the solution and the destination yourself. We will not sell you the illusion that we look after the data on a server you administer. If you want backups managed by us, the shared hosting plans include daily JetBackup.

Yes. The practical difference: on shared hosting we manage the server and you work in cPanel; on a VPS you manage everything, with root.
